Physical Appearance:
Javier is alluringly handsome, as opposed to the masculine and heroic type handsome, or the excessively pretty type handsome that most women get attracted to immediately. His beauty carries with it a mystique, and an attraction of antipathetic-sympathy that can be compared to how people can’t help but look into the darkness, despite the inherent feelings warning them to look away. People get attracted to him, much like they do the prospect of death. He gives a whole new meaning to being Tall, Dark and Handsome.

His physical attributes are unique. The shape of his face is relatively square and proportional but there are no sharp edges about him. His hair is jet-black and relatively wavy except at the ends where they tend to curl. Most of the time, Javier’s hair is unruly, but it sets itself perfectly to suit his face. He has strong eyebrows, but they’re not overly thick. It is mostly because they are sharply angled and are as dark a black as his hair his, making them seem very prominent. His brows are almost perpetually furrowed and therefore hood his eyes. Javier’s eyes are one of his more unique qualities as well. His eyes are pools of darkest ink and seem to pierce while at the same time draw you in, whenever you look into them. They seem like polished onyx stones, and are very smoky with thick eye lashes. Javier is almost perpetually seen squinting them, giving him a feel of grave intensity. Like all vampires, Javier’ eyes tend to grow luminous when performing his dark gifts.

Javier is not known to be a smiler, usually his face remains blank and when he finds something amusing he won’t go far enough to show his teeth. When smiling out of contempt or when he views something as humorous Only one side of his mouth quirks into a semblance of a smile, as if the other half is too stubborn to follow suit. This is usually accompanied by a slight sniff or snort. However, there are jewel moments when Javier does smile, and he has been told that his smile was to die for…quite literally since those jeweled moments are usually when Javier makes a kill.

Like all vampires Javier has a milky white pallor for his skin tone, and fingernails like glass. He feels relaxed in the state of darkness and will really keep the curtains closed forever unless somebody opens them for him. He is not slight of build, although not overly muscular as well…he is toned enough to satisfy what society would deem as attractive, with biceps and abdominal muscles. He stands at a good average height befitting what would be acceptable for a modern male model.

As for clothing, Javier has an aristocratic sense of style, sometimes appearing gaudy. He has a penchant for blazers and other coats, bow-ties, cravats and other such accessories. Javier prefers solid colors, not necessarily dark as he wears white and gray often. He doesn’t wear prints if he can avoid them though, nor does he wear warm colors and especially not yellow. Whenever he wears red, it usually is in a very dark hue. Javier also always has a number of jewels about his person, be they rings, cuffs or watches.

Basic Dark Gifts

• Vigor Gift - Javier despite just being past 300 years old, has already achieved the level of an ancient. This is because he has partaken in the blood of the Vampire Queen, his strength has increased exponentially. He can overpower young werewolves with ease and even rip their limbs off effortlessly.
  
• Celerity Gift - At the present, Javier is one of the fastest vampires in the world. His reflexes are unmatched by any other vampire in his coven. Furthermore, Javier’ speed has dexterity to it, he is not only agile but has a controlled nimbleness about his movement. His speed does not affect the precision of his movements.
  
• Sensory Gift - Javier’ sense are more finely tuned than that of humans, his sense of hearing possibly the most developed out of all five. He can easily track down his prey with the beating of their heart alone. Javier can also see very well in the dark.
  
• Suspension Gift - Certain aspects of physics are unable to touch vampires normally. One of these is gravity. Javier can easily walk across walls and ceilings as they do the ground. It is not exactly similar like how spiders or lizards do it, but vampires unconsciously shift the effects of gravity around them. As a result, even their clothes and hair do not dangle to the ground.
  
• Ignorance Gift - Vampires are immune to most attacks other than their known weakness because they are apparently able to heal quickly. Vampires are known to feel pain, they just get over it quickly. All vampires can potentially heal from any non-fatal wound, including incomplete decapitation but time and blood are needed. A bullet wound, for instance, would heal within seconds, but serious burns from a fire would require decades, if not centuries, to heal.
  
• Vestige Gift - Floating between the state of death and life, vampires are supernatural creatures who are able to interact with the immaterial world. Vampires possess the ability to naturally see ghosts and other types of spirits and even go as far as to touch them.
  
• Blood Speaking Gift –Vampires also display the ability to obtain memories, emotions, and experiences through drinking the blood of other vampires. Two vampires who frequently feed from each other end up creating a permanent empathic link, which allows them to sense the general state of each other and always have an awareness of their location. When younger vampires feed from ancient vampires on a regular basis, their abilities increase exponentially and at times they may manifest advanced Dark Gifts despite not achieving the required age yet.
  
• Turning Gift - Of course, each Vampire also has the ability to turn others into their kind, but few have the will to let a person survive. The act of turning something is also something the vampires consider near sacred, and do not take lightly. Javier has never turned anybody yet. He doesn’t possess the will power to keep from drinking the last drop.

Advanced Dark Gifts

• Mind Gift - This is the ability to communicate and read thoughts, especially of humans, and to move objects with the mind. Javier has manifested this ability by feeding on The Vampire Queen, but he perfected it with years of training. He can only listen into one mind at a time and can perform relatively average feats of telekinesis. He can’t lift anything twice as heavy as he is, and he can’t manipulate objects with the same complexity as his hands.
  
• Resistance Gift – Javier has developed some resistance to sunlight, due to his advanced age. He can survive a maximum of approximately forty-minutes under direct sunlight.
  
• Fiend Gift – This was the gift which he managed to acquire the most from feeding on the Vampire Queen. He manifested it before he achieved his status as an ancient, and because of The Vampire Queen’s blood speaking gift he also learned how to use it almost instantaneously. In complete transformation, Javier can turn into a swarm of approximately two-thousand fiends.
  
  Santino’s Enchantment – Another unique ability that Javier possesses’ that other vampires do not is his ability to mimic the mage ability to sense the presence and strength of their fellow mages. It is similar in effect but different in process. Javier senses mages through their blood, and describes the difference in disciplines as a different in the scent and the taste. With this power, Javier can zero-in on mages even if they hide their presence from other mages. They can however; use magical means to conceal their scent.
  

Skills:
Assassin Training – Javier received extensive training in Arabia, in the ways of the Hassansin. He is a very formidable unarmed combatant employing a fighting style of quick powerful blows, combined with acrobatic feats and the intention to twist the opponent's joint at unnatural angles. This fighting style contains a lot of moves expected in instantly kill one’s opponent such as neck-breakers or strikes to the spine. Javier is also aware of the position of the vitals, and coupled with his vampiric abilities to sense blood he actually epitomizes the idea of a vampiric assassin.

Witch Slayer – Due to Javier’ experiences with the Satanic cult of Santino, he developed such skill with dealing and killing mages. He has a vast theoretical knowledge of mage disciplines and designed tactics in order to counter them. Only the most experienced and powerful of mages have the necessary skill to stand against Javier, because he is a master of his craft. He also has an intense craving for mage blood…as he can taste the power coursing through them. He describes different disciplines as having different tastes.

Expert Driver – The reason that Javier is The Vampire Queen’s chauffeur is simply because he is the best driver in the coven. His reflexes are far more attuned than that of a normal vampire, but beyond that he actually has a feel of the machine. A lot of vampires have difficulty driving cars, because they move too fast for the mechanics to keep up with them. Javier, has an understanding of vehicles and consciously adjusts his movements to expertly maneuver the car. He can drive anything with masterful skill.

Personal Possessions:
Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 Roadster -In 2009, Lamborghini released a limited-run update of the Murciélago Roadster. The LP 650-4's increased engine output was rated at 650 PS and 660 Nm, allowing the car to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds and achieve a top speed of 329.9 km/h (205.0 mph). Although only released in grey, Javier had his car personalized in black.

Jewel Collection – Javier has always been attracted to precious stones, it was his guilty pleasure as a human and turning into a vampire this craving was heightened. He owns hundreds of pieces of jewelry coming from almost every culture imaginable. He rarely wears anything aside from the rings and the occasional necklace. He owns a lot of un-affixed stones as well. Mostly he just likes looking at them during his own leisure.

Weapons and Equipment:
Jericho 941 F (DA), 9 mm Handgun - Javier’ personal preference is the Jericho 941, he views it as a generally useful choice, which is easily concealable and easily maneuverable when used in tandem with his vampiric speed. He makes use of different kinds of bullets, such as silver against werewolves and magically infused bullets against spirits and other entities.

Katars – Coming from a time where firearms did not exist yet, Javier has a significantly practiced skill with bladed weapons. Although he knows how to use swords and daggers, his most favorite melee weapon is the katar. He usually has twin blades hidden up the sleeves of his coat. His training as a vampiric assassin during the 15th century makes him extremely proficient in their use.

Limitations:
Javier seems like a very powerful vampire, but like all of his kind he has severe weakness to sunlight and to fire. He is unable to step out during the morning as they will begin to burn. He is also similarly vulnerable to artificial sunlight or U.V. rays albeit to a much lesser degree.

Due to Javier's emotional instability being heightened by his vampire nature he has many psychological and emotional weaknesses. The first among these is his great aversion to his own voice. He doesn't like hearing his voice, which he believes is now terribly ugly and will enter into feats of pronounced terror and hatred whenever he is forced to speak. At the most obvious level, this prevents him from talking. Usually he relies on sign language since using telepathy for everything is a waste of his blood. At situations, he can actually be tortured with his own voice to the point of suicidal insanity.

He shares with the vampire blood lust, and being relatively middle-aged he hasn't gained the same control as the elders have. And has difficulty passing up free meals.

Javier's magic sense also sometimes clouds his other senses, especially if the area is extremely saturated in some form of magic or another. He is also unable to turn of this sense meaning that every second of his life he is aware of magical activity within his range. One can imagine how distracting this would be in a city like Arc.

Personality Description:
Strange for a vampire is that Javier has a rather detached and with a brush-away view of the world, Javier is a person entirely shrouded by his own alluring mystique. He is rather passive with everything, choosing to let things be rather than get involved. His passiveness almost always gets misunderstood as arrogance. He is very much the type who’ll just turn around and walk away from a confrontation. This may seem rude and often gets him into the fight that he was trying to avoid in the first place. Unfortunately, Javier is a slight bit socially retarded and it wouldn’t have occurred to him in the first place that the event would play out that way. The same goes for people who try to insult him, he usually ends up infuriating everybody because he simply does not respond and merely tolerates them whatever they say or do. Javier often wonders about this himself and makes comments such as “Doesn’t me walking away mean that you win?” Javier is actually extremely, ashamed of his own voice and has chosen to never speak ever again. He usually communicates by means of facial expressions, sign-language, or telepathically. However his telepathic choice of voice, is his voice when he was a child opera star.

Javier is not friendly at all, he’s not antagonistic to anybody, nor does he make enemies or hate anybody (mainly because he views it as too much work). But he is incredibly socially retarded, he has a good read of people, knowing how they’ll act in terms of movement or business, but he has next to zero knowledge on how to interact with them. Javier also suffers from a sociopathic disorder, characterized by significant difficulties in social interaction, along with restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and interests. He has trouble recognizing facial expressions and matching them with emotions, an example is when he draws people, they are usually expressionless as Javier doesn't know what a happy or sad expression looks like. He usually prefers keeping away, and actually doesn’t want to make many friends at all. Because of his social retardation, he can at times be tactless, and insensitive with people, unintentionally offending them.

Javier can also be quite slothful, as his passiveness becomes convoluted in certain aspect. Whenever Javier deems something as unnecessary, he’ll simply not do it despite what other people think or need. He’s also prone to just dropping whatever he’s doing when he finds it too troubling and not leveled-off by its importance. He also doesn’t like explaining his actions, and usually assumes that people can follow the same twisted logic he follows. It may also seem at times that Javier is slow, but he is actually very intelligent he just chooses not to show it, since being intelligent puts him in a position where he needs to work harder.

He enjoys the luxurious things in life. He does not do this for the attention, although to his dismay it comes anyway. It is just a natural tendency for him to enjoy things which sparkle or shine or as he likes to say “Breaks the Darkness”.

Contrary to popular belief, Javier actually has a sense of humor. However, he has a sinister, mock-playful humor, evident in the way he scares and intimidates people, to make them leave him alone. People also often mistake Javier to be emotionless, to which he mentally replies that iIrritation is an emotion. He can feel things, and he’s not made from stone, no matter how marble-esque his skin is. But it’s absolutely impossible for a vampire to be emotionless, because they’re all creatures of passion.

Javier is still very subject to his emotions like all vampires. He is, quick to anger if someone directly insults or threatens his Queen. It is as if all his passion is directed to The Vampire Queen. He has a deep-seated fanatical obsession to her. He will literally do anything she says without hesitation, even if it goes against what he believes is right, or if it’s a direct request for him to walk out into the sunlight. He sees her strangely as a mother-figure, yet also desires her sexually…it may seem like incest, but in the vampire world, there is no such thing as a wrong-pleasure.

Their Story: Javier was born in Zaragoza, Spain in 1600, in what used to be the Kingdom of Aragon. A musical prodigy with angelic features and dark hair, young Javier toured the capitals of Europe singing opera. Upon realization that he’d soon reach puberty and lose his voice and purpose, he slumped into a deep-depression and refused to sing or even speak anymore. He essentially made the conscious decision to become mute.

Javier thought to live among the monks in the Monastery of the Caves, who lived an ascetic life buried beneath earth, sustained only by water and small amounts of food, until they died. Both the monks and Javier believed he was destined to live such a life, while his father was appalled by the idea. And so it was decided that he should be castrated in order to maintain his voice. But back then it was thought that the voice of a castrati changed after the procedure and the ruler King Sancho ordered that Javier give him and his court a final private performance. Javier rebelled against the idea, refusing to hear his own voice ever again, but the King was insistent and he was taken to be brought to the castle and be made to sing under the threat of death. On his way to the castle Javier was captured by Moors and brought as a slave to Constantinople and subsequently sold to a brothel. There, he was subjected to horrific abuse and this triggered his sociopathy.

The Vampire Queen and her coven were at this time in-hiding from certain sects of hunters. They found their way to Persia where they rescued Javier from the brothel. The Vampire Queen grew fond of him and proceeded with giving him an education and a luxurious life. She then chose Javier for his beauty and youth to educate 'in the way of the coven', so as to eventually make him a vampire. Javier, who owed The Vampire Queen his life and sanity, loved her single-mindedly and was eager to become a vampire. He did not understand The Vampire Queen’s hesitation of turning him at such a young age, or turning him at all and in an act of rebellion and anger he seduced a caliph’s wife, whom he eventually abandoned after a few nights. However, the woman became obsessed with Javier and enraged by his betrayal, wounded him with a poisoned blade. In doing this, he forced The Vampire Queen to turn Javier into a vampire to save his life. Javier was 17 years old at the time of his transformation.

Shortly after his turning, The Vampire Queen's coven was attacked by a Satanic cult, led by a warlock named Santino. The Vampire Queen was set on fire, the other ancients killed or also severely injured. Javier and the other young vampires were kidnapped and taken to Rome. Santino tortured Javier by burning his friends to death and starving him in a cellar until he was forced to feed on his best friend and innocent children. After five months of such psychological torture, Javier was ready to believe everything the cult said in exchange for their love and forget all he had known before. Having been able to feed from The Vampire Queen and the other ancients, Javier was extremely powerful for a young vampire and possessed vast powers. Because of his strength, he wasn’t killed and instead turned into a vampire assassin used by the cult against their enemies. He was shipped to Arabia in order to be trained by the Hassansins. He training proved to be very fruitful, because in seven years he became a very accomplished assassin. After his training was complete he was sent back to Rome where he fulfilled his duties extremely successfully.

He was taught a theoretical framework on magic by Santino. Javier imbibed these well, and despite not having any magical capabilities he was able to understand them. As a result, he became a very proficient mage assassin. He knew to attack mages in the middle of their rituals, he knew not to bother with the magical slaves and go straight for the master. He developed such skill, that he became known as the Vampiric Witch Slayer. Santino also cast a spell on Javier, giving him a similar ability to sense the magical presence of mages and their relative strength and chosen discipline, based on the scent and taste of their blood. Due to his assassin training, Javier’ reflexes also became honed to such a degree that he surpassed most vampires of his age, and even some of the older ones. He could avoid all the combat spells that were directed at him, and he developed a reputation of bringing down mages even before they could finish casting their spells.

As Javier continued his life in Rome, The Vampire Queen and the other ancients quietly fed from back-water towns and villages until they regained enough of their strength. Run by their passion and thirst for vengeance, they went to Rome in search for their children. However, what they found when they arrived caused them so much grief. All of the children were dead except for Javier, who had been twisted into a tool for death. The Vampire Queen and her coven exacted their revenge massacring the entire cult that did them wrong, they also saved Javier, but by this time he was still delusional and was convinced that Santino was his father and the cult his family.

He was violent, and always tried to strike out at his coven members. He caused a lot of injury and ultimately had to be detained. The other ancients were impressed with the leap of Javier’ power and skill, but were also afraid of it. Some considered just destroying him, but The Vampire Queen wouldn’t have any of it. He was the only remaining child she had of all those that had been taken from her, she would keep him at all costs. The coven, took refuge in the base of the cult…residing their and making it their home. Javier was detained in the dungeons, but every day The Vampire Queen would visit him and try to make him remember who he was.

She used her Blood Speaking Gift, letting him drink of her own blood everyday so that he could remember. It took a grueling decade…but what is a decade to an immortal. Javier finally began recovering from his trauma and he remembered his undying love for his Queen. As another result of feeding from such a powerful vampire as The Vampire Queen every day, Javier gained another exponential growth in his abilities. He gained access to his Fiend Gift, and became nearly as proficient with it as The Vampire Queen was, using memories of her experiences as his own.

The years passed, the coven traveling all over Europe, taking on numerous guises this was where Javier began collecting his precious stones and jewelry, he found a kinship in the stones, realizing their shared sense of permanence. Finally, the new-world beckoned for them. Javier was one of the passengers on the ship of the dead and responsible for the killing of the crew and other passengers. They immediately made their residence in Arc City, and took part in the early War of Power.

As the other members of the coven began to mass into Arc, and the fortunes were turned into a business. Javier became one of the first vampire captains and led his troops to defend the coven’s territory. As the war plateaued and the fighting became less obvious, Javier then chose to give up his position as a captain and instead never to leave his Queen’s side, becoming her personal bodyguard. He’s been there ever since.
