lennox o'connel
biological information
Full Name: Lennox Patrick O'Connel. Nickname: Lenny, Len. Alias: Lovable Pooch, The Puppy. Gender: Male though it can be debatable at times. Orientation: Heterosexual – but can also be debatable at times. Age: eighteen. Date of Birth: August 4. Marital Status: Single. Place of Birth: Arc City. Race: Werewolf. Occupation: Student/ Security at the family casino/ a Teeth member.
Physical Appearance: Lennox would be considered…well, it is very hard to consider what exactly Lennox is like physically in comparison to but the word attractive does come to mind. He’s on the tall end, reaching a height of six feet with an added two and a half inches. He keeps thinking he’s getting shorter but if anything, he’s just upset he shot up so quickly and sometimes has trouble managing his own limbs and body parts. He’s too tall for his own liking. His eyes are a bright yet heart-warming periwinkle blue that, on occasion depending on the season and weather, looks stormy and gray. A bed-head mess of medium toned brown hair sits on top of his head in a thick mass that is usually sticking up in some kind of odd way. He never brushes it and usually gets told, constantly, that he should do so. That or just cut his hair and he never really does either more so out of lethargy than to be disobedient. A few noticeable features about his face would have to be his thick eyebrows which he jokingly pokes fun at, saying they look like two fat caterpillars and as a child, he used to have a unibrow before it somehow just wasn’t a unibrow anymore. He figured the fine hairs fell off while he was sleeping or something as a kid. Another noticeable feature would be his full lips though they are normally pulled back into a smile to show his near perfect pearly white teeth. He also has two distinguishable beauty marks: one just underneath his right eye and the other on his left cheek closer to his nose. He has two more on his neck but those usually go ignored.
His body, however, is probably the most impressing asset when it comes to Lennox’s physique. Despite being a humorous goofball and someone considered to have “no back bone”, he does work out on a regular basis and takes care of himself. He isn’t the strongest guy out there, but he tries to train himself to become such a man. As a result, he has been told her has the abs of the statue of David, chiseled as if carved from marble, and it is one of the few parts of himself that he is extremely proud of. His shoulders are strong as well as his arms and legs from lifting weights and running. But his body, no matter how strong and lean it may appear and be, will always seem a bit off because of his boyish face and submissive characteristics. His personality sometimes makes others laugh at him but he tends to try and brush off such comments. He tends to wear anything he finds in his room ranging from sneakers to boots but one thing that probably would be hard to see Lennox in is an actual suit, collared shirt, loafers, or anything involving getting dressed up. He’s a classic jeans and t shirt kind of guy and doesn’t pay much attention to fashion whatsoever. His looks are his own. Don’t like it? Deal with it.
As a werewolf, he, of course, changes into his wolf form which he does prefer over his human form because to him it is more liberating. He stands at just under seven feet tall as a wolf, around six feet with an added eight or so inches. His wolf side continues to hold a youthful, young look and though the muscles are strong and lean, he is not overly muscular or bulging with testosterone. His face still has his warming blue orbs and his fur is still a sort of muddy brown color, soft and weathered. Surprisingly, his beauty marks remain in place through slightly darker patches of fur in black along his muzzle and by his eyes. Because he is lean and he does not have muscles to hold him back as much, (plus he tends to practice this more than he should), he is pretty light on his feet and can run faster than most werewolves – all visible within the muscles of his wolf form’s arms and legs.

special abilities
Powers:- Shifting - Like any other werewolf, Lenny can shift into a wolf.
- Enhanced Senses - He possess senses that are enhanced far beyond the levels of both human and wolves. He can smell other humans' and animals' emotions, intentions and relative state of being. He can also pick out the other races by their individual smells.
- Enhanced Sixth Sense - Lennox is surprisingly well at contacting spirits with his senses. If anything, he is better at tracking them and finding them than anything.
- Superhuman Strength - He is stronger than most but because of his lithe and lean figure, he isn't that strong - including the fact he is so young. He can carry three times his own weight, which is anywhere between 480 and 500 pounds.
- Superhuman Speed – Lennox can be considered one hell of a runner. He tends to move very fast and is lighter on his feet than the majority of werewolves since he doesn't have muscles to weigh him down. He’s been known to run at about sixty four miles an hour in a straight line without any other factors involved.
- Superhuman Durability –He can only have up to a certain amount of weight dropped on him mostly because he isn't as strong as many and his gift lays mostly in his speed. The most weight he can have dropped on him is about 600 pounds but it doesn’t mean he’ll be able to get back up! He considers 500 – 510 being his limit since he can still carry it. He can survive 600 but it’s a bit difficult for him.
- Regeneration - He has the ability to regenerate from most injuries. Though if too extreme, he obviously can't.
- Stamina– Lenny can keep up on a hunt for a pretty large number of weeks mostly because he runs daily and has trained himself to be able to do so. He can last about a month on a hunt before he starts tiring himself out. When running, he can run without stopping for about three to four days before needed to rest.
- Pack Mind – He know where his pack members are and their general condition though he tends to limit using any type of telepathy when concentrating on one because he does not like his mind to be intruded upon.
- Law– Because of his already submissive behavior and characteristics, when the Alpha, his father, gives a command, he is the first to end up listening and obeying even if he desperately didn't want to. This is specific to his father only. When it comes to other werewolves, this doesn’t apply.
- Resistance to Silver– Because he was born of two werewolf parents, he inherited this gift from his father. He has a high pain tolerance and thus, his resistance to silver is pretty epic but of course, he isn't perfect and he can't hold out for an insane amount of time. He can resist silver for about six to twelve hours before he would inevitably give in.
- Communing with Wolves – Lenny is surprisingly good at communicating with other wolves. This was another inherited trait but it was one he developed further because of his free time spent in the forest. This gift is a bit more acute than others.
- Sonic Howl– This is probably the least developed of all Lennox's advanced gifts. Again it was inherited but he isn't naturally a very loud person and is even less vocal as a wolf. The only time he can actually make his sonic howl effective would be if he was extremely angry or upset about something and then it just comes naturally. Other than that, he's a bit of a failure at using it and normally doesn't.
Skills:- Tracking/Hunting: Lennox has become extremely well at hunting and tracking down enemies or game mostly from his running around in the forest so damn much.
- Accuracy: Despite not being a fan of guns, he has practiced with a sniper rifle just for the hell of it and honestly, he doesn't even know the exact name of the gun - just that he's really good at doing long distance shots more so than up close where he tends to freak out.
- Intelligence/Research: Lenny is very good at gathering information and figuring things out on his own. As you can see-he's a thinker not a fighter. He prefers love not war!
Personal Possessions: - Key Necklace: The necklace is white gold on a thin chain with a simple, matching skeleton key at the end of it encrusted in diamond dust. It was given to him by a mortal teenage girl he attended high school with who went missing when he turned sixteen. He hasn't been able to give it up since and he never takes it off. He considers it his "good luck charm" since it has kept him safe ever since it was given to him.
Weapons and Equipment:- Sniper Rifle: Don't ask him what kind of rifle it is or even what kind of ammo it takes. He tends to just ask those who know about guns what he needs and he goes to get it when necessary. He tends to use this the most when fighting, whenever he does.
Limitations: Lennox isn't a great fighter. He has a lot of self control but a lack of self discipline and doesn't believe in violence. Thus, going up against him would be easy. He does get destructive when angry, though, and thus he isn't one to be messed with in those situations because his mind tends to go into a blind rage...like The Hulk only way cuter like a child throwing a tantrum. Anything violence related and Lenny is just terrible at it. An important limitation would have to be that he can't resist silver like his father can but he can do it to a degree. Another limitation is that he hasn't really fully developed or worked on any of his gifts, except for a select few, rendering him a bit useless with using them. He hasn't entirely been taught, either, how to use such gifts as an advantage-he goes by instinct.
psychoanalysis
Personality Description: The first word to best describe Lennox Whelan would be puppy. The next few would be young, silly, sweet, and definitely unique. He is one of those lucky wolves who just have a world of patience and getting him mad would probably take a good long time. He doesn’t know which parent he inherited such a trait from but it was most definitely something that has come in handy over the years. The eighteen year old is a very carefree kind of guy who simply longs for a sense of freedom outside the duties of his Irish Mob family lifestyle and prefers peace over violence. He is very laid back and optimistic and believes all the races, though there will always be tension, could learn to simply coexist. Simply because he longs for peace, however, doesn’t mean he isn’t intelligent. Education is something he prides himself in and his own curiosity is what has led to him wanting to become a behavioral psychiatrist but he is in school specifically to follow in the footsteps of his father which he does not object to. He may not object but it doesn’t mean he enjoys it. He loves school enough to not care what he goes to school for, just as long as he actually gets to attend.
Because of his curiosity in the study of the mind, he is very good at people watching. He picks up on details and is very intuitive. It is another reason why he tends to be good, when it comes to weaponry, at handling a sniper rifle. Not only is he away from the major violence (which is a total plus in his book!), but he has the patience and the capability of becoming a sniper. He practices often but tends to keep such a hobby to himself since he wouldn’t want to use it to kill people. So far, soda cans and spray painted trees are fine by him. With all of this also comes his high pain tolerance and his tolerance for people in general. It takes a lot for someone to really penetrate him and get him all worked up over something but it also makes him very submissive. He hates getting people angry, even if the fault is not his own and he knows he is right. He will take full blame if it avoids conflict. He avoids confrontation like the plague and disobeying his parents, especially his father, is something he would probably never do and would go out of his way to not do. He isn’t the rebellious youth one would think he should be at such an age. He is well aware of his father’s disappointment at having a son like him who would prefer to use his strength in a gym or reading a book than following in his footsteps. He had the potential of being a murderous hound and he prefers the olive branch and white flag route.
His love for nature, being in his wolf form, and simply running around is something he hold very near and close to his heart. He considers it to be a bit of a romance, his fondness of poetry originally stemming from how much he simply loves being a werewolf. He finds no shame in being born into such a race but he does know not everyone sees it as such a thing. He may embrace his inner wolf but most tend to shy away from it or hate it all together. Despite being so happy and go lucky and adoring his werewolf heritage, he does get angry just like everyone else and does feel emotions other than content. When angry, Lennox is not someone to be dealt with in any kind of rational manner. He doesn’t suppress his wolf side because he usually doesn’t have to since he doesn’t get frustrated or angry often. It usually starts with low growls before he simply gets violent and tends to destroy his surroundings though he tries to avoid hurting people in his blind rampage. Some would say because he tries to be so optimistic all the time, he represses his other, darker, emotions and when they are let loose, boy are they let loose and a path of destruction usually follows.
Lenny also has never really thought of vampires n any kind of romantic sense until his girlfriend, years ago, went missing. He saw her again, if only a glimpse, and immediately knew that she had changed and not for the better. He never before was in love with a vampire and had been raised to believe they were disgusting, vile creatures. He had even been taught to how to kill them, using strength in numbers, but now finds himself completely drawn to his old flame like a moth to a light bulb. His ignorant hatred toward the race has dropped significantly since finding out and his infatuation with Veronica has only grown to nostalgia and longing for how they were when they were younger. He usually struggles between hating vampires and loving a particular one because he feels he has to choose between his family and duty and a race that would never welcome him in the first place and not having either, he knows, would ultimately destroy him.
Strengths:- Friendly: He’s a sweety pie, plain and simple. Lenny loves to make new friends; regardless of the danger it could potentially put him in. He doesn’t think much of the consequences ahead of time and doesn’t like to discriminate against the other races though at times it does come out in a joking manner.
- Intelligence: His attending St. Ignatius Academy is not in vain! The young wolf takes his studies very seriously and could be considered a bit of a book worm. It doesn't mean he is serious but he doesn't skip on the opportunity to show off that he knows something other people don't know all because he simply picked up a book and read it. He's also extremely good at memorizing things - details more than anything.
- King's English: Along with his intelligence came his ability to communicate his ideas, thoughts, and all else in between in a very proper and professional manner. Despite being the laid back person he is, he does have a knack for using big words and describing things with a million adjectives like he was experiencing everything himself first hand. Some say it makes him seem almost romantic - others just want him to shut up because he unintentionally makes them feel stupid.
- Adventurous: Lenny will and would never give up a good adventure. Have to go find something over in west bumblefuck? He is on it like white on rice! He loves traveling and his adventurous spirit has been a strength of his since he was a kid since he was always up for anything.
- Strategy: When it comes to building strategies, Lenny knows he has the backbone and the brain for it. He likes things simple but sometimes a complicated plan is simply needed. Though he's only part of the "teeth" grouping, he could obtain a higher rank if he really wanted to but he never wanted to move up to Teeth in the first place so he prefers to stay put. He feels too submissive to actually become a leader.
Weaknesses:- Emotional: Lenny takes things personally. Plain and simple. Truth is, he just doesn't get angry by it - he gets upset. Not crying and sobbing like a child. No, he simply is too emotional by werewolf standards. He gets extremely happy, extremely excited, and then he can become extremely submissive. The transitions are slow and not so bi polar but they are still noticeable.
- Submissive: This mostly applies to his parents more than anything. He doesn't like disobeying them, feeling it is some kind of cardinal sin that could somehow land him in the last circle of hell right next to Satin himself. He'd rather just do as he is told but with others who are at his rank or lower he isn't submissive. He tends to just ignore them or be his usual happy go lucky self.
- Non-confrontational: He is the king of avoiding confrontation whether it is emotional or physical. He doesn't like being so blunt and straight to the point nor does he like people getting in his face about things. Plus, he has some strange fear about getting yelled at or treated like dirt-he'd rather just go his own way and be done with it.
- Youth: One would think his young age would be awesome and yes, he sees it that way, but many others, like his father, do not. His youth tends to betray him and he does look younger than he really is. His youth also grants a sense of immaturity and wanting to just have fun instead of taking responsibility and dealing with things head on. He'd rather run around the forest naked than deal with the fact that, unless he does something about it, he is going to end up like his father.
- Curiosity: Ever hear of the phrase curiosity killed the cat? Well, Curiosity killed the Lenny. He's very much so like a puppy, unable to fill out his paws just yet, and like a dog he tends to stick his nose in places he shouldn't. It is all done innocently but such innocent actions could render very horrible consequences.
Fears: Disappointing his father even more. Goals: Lennox would love to become a behavioral psychiatrist or some kind of something that studies the human mind and behavior without being a therapist. He has thought along the lines of an anthropologist - to study different cultures and how they effect people, but he also wants to please his father and thus, wouldn't dare go against his wishes of following in his footsteps. His goal is to eventually bring some kind of peace or even go rogue - obtaining freedom being his biggest obstacle.
biography
Their Story: It was a dark and dreary day when little Lennox O’Connel was born…Gloomy, depressing, horrid, stormy, and gray…
Pfft. No.
It was actually bright and sunny, a perfect summer day when Lennox Patrick O’Connel was brought into the world. The weather matched him almost perfectly, unknowing to the two happy werewolf parents, but instead of being born in a hospital, he was born in the O’Connel estate. Why might you ask? Simple. It only took a hundred years for his mother to actually be able to have him and she wasn’t going to have doctors, who knew nothing about werewolves or their pups, be hanging all over her little Lennox. No, they had their own doctors for that, right? At least that was how the story was told to Lenny, at the age of three, when he curiously asked, while tugging on his mother’s long skirt as he sat on the floor playing with a Hot Wheel, where it was exactly he came from. Always the curious boy who constantly asked questions, at a young age he was found to also be very intelligent. He skipped crawling all together and went straight for “furniture cruising” before he was suddenly full on walking. He actually learned to crawl later than sooner. He had a knack for being adventurous, climbing things he shouldn’t be and laughing at the simplest of things. He found amusement in the outdoors and it was difficult to keep him away from the sunshine and grass, trees and wilderness. It seemed he had a fascination with wild life more so than his own family but he still remained deathly attached to his mother, his protector and life-giver, and he adored her to bits. Even by the age of five, he defended her as if he were her lawyer. The woman could do no wrong. The same type of relationship developed with his father and while young, he would puff out his chest with pride and attempt to imitate his old man, only to look like a fool. Like his mother, he defended his father to the bone and should anyone try to hurt any of these two key people in his life, he would surely shred them to pieces with his tiny, chubby fingers.
Lenny’s first change into his wolf-like form came at a tender age when the first full moon arrived. It had only been about a week after his birth and, even in his wolf form, he looked very much so like an adorable puppy. Some say they experience pain when transforming for the first time but Lennox, to this day, could never say he felt any kind of pain. He could describe the experience as filled with adrenaline and exciting, anxiety from wanting to spread ones limbs out and just run through the trees in the cool night air! He doesn’t remember his first transformation like those bitten would as either traumatic or enjoyable. He had always accepted his wolf side and his heritage and finds no shame in it.
The son of the alpha slowly started changing from being Mr. Tough Guy, all brawns and no brains, to the exact opposite the older he became. By the age of twelve, he had lost interest in wanting to become like his father and carrying on the family name. His mind became so clearly focused on his school work, the humans slowly getting the better of him by saying the only way to succeed in life being getting a proper education. It was probably also that he noticed more violence and less good coming out of it. He tended to view his father as a super hero but the first time he didn’t do some training with the pack in order to study for an exam, he noticed the disappointment in his father’s eyes at Lennox’s human liking, how he seemed to value them more so than his pack. This wasn’t true at all but one could see such a conclusion because Lenny’s actions backed them up. He became very submissive around this time mostly out of fear of disrespecting his father and seeing further disappointment. Lenny forced himself to become more involved with the pack, training and working out alongside others his own age and trying his hardest to learn the “tricks of the trade” so his father would gain more confidence in him. It didn’t really work.
By fourteen, Lenny knew he needed to find an outlet. He normally went running in the forests with the pack on full moons, not so much on his own. So one day, after getting into an argument with another pack member over him not being “worthy” enough to take his father’s place once he passed (and this had become normal for the young wolf – the bullying throughout his very low rank was constant and daily but because he wasn’t confrontational, he never really told his father or mother about it), he took off into the forest to let out his pent up frustration over just not being, essentially, the brute his father wanted him to be. He wasn’t as strong as the others, didn’t have as many muscles, just simply wasn’t enough to ever please his father. He was too goofy, too immature, too busy with his head in the clouds. It was then he started his habit of constantly being in the forest away from others and it eventually, also, lead to him becoming friends with many who weren’t werewolves and realizing it was okay to be friends with them. Other species weren’t always out to kill you all the damn time like he’d been taught.
At the age of fifteen, though, Lenny met Veronica. He originally met her in the back of St. Ignatius Academy he attended, late one night when he’d been there with a group of friends goofing off like they normally did by the football field. She’d been beautiful, breathtaking, with sugar plums for cheeks, long, flowing dark hair, and eyes the color of milk chocolate. Her skin was the perfect shade of dark apricot and her legs seemed to go on endlessly. She was wicked, standing there smoking a cigarette behind the school. She had looked over at him, given him a playful smile, before telling him to come over to her. He didn’t hesitate to abandon his friends, all humans, and go over to her with his hands in his pockets and wondering why a gal like her could look the way she did so casually smoking a cigarette and dressed in an eclectic punk meets grunge fashion statement. It had been there that they met and it had been there that he’d fallen in love with the older gal, three years his senior, and he couldn’t help himself. It started off simply meeting at night or even during school but never around any of his pack mates. Their meetings were a bit secretive and eventually it moved to the forest where she eventually managed to take his virginity and from there on out, the two were stuck together like white on rice. She was wild, into partying, drugs, and bad habits that had her moods fluctuating from bad to wonderful to worse to content and back again. They argued often, though more so she yelled at him and would smack him or hit him in her own desperate attempt to somehow make her own life and situation better. No matter how hard he tried to fix the troubled teen, she always seemed to find a way to just not accept his help no matter how sweet and sincere he was.
The two were together for about a year before, one day, Veronica simply stopped coming to school. It was her last year and she was supposed to graduate but she never did and shortly after her disappearance, he was told by a few pack mates and friends that she had moved with her family back to Los Angeles where she was from and that was the end of it. She never wrote, never called, never sent an email. It was like she slipped off the face of the planet and no matter how much Lennox tried looking for her, there was no use. The gal was as good as gone. He took her leaving very hard and it was what became the final straw in severing his once decent relationship with his parents. Having seen Veronica struggle with her own family, Lennox had become closer to his own, valuing them more than himself, but with her gone, he seemed to simply fall into himself. Where he was once submissive, now was in excess. It was normal for him to not act like the son of the alpha and more like just another low ranking wolf when, if he put his mind to it, he could actually fight each of them one on one and receive a higher ranking above them but he stopped trying. He only moved up to Teeth because, well, he was the Alpha’s son. It was around this time he started picking up the sniper rifle, fiddling around with it, and learning how to use it. He showed to have a natural talent for it but again, he tended to just keep that to himself.
It took more or less a few months for Lennox to get himself out of his rut of depression at the loss of the “love of his life” and he became more focused on his studies and being his usual goofy self again. He became more social, more so outside the pack than anything, and he found himself longing for more peace and less violence. He didn’t like how the city was run and believed they could all just live together if they damn well tried – in a civilized manner where humans wouldn’t get caught up in the conflict. This stemmed from him having so many mortal friends who had no idea what he was – just as Veronica had had no idea what he was. By the age of eighteen, he found himself once again trying to work toward not disappointing his father, who forever seemed to view Lennox as more of a burden than an asset. But, of course, such actions, like before, could only last so long before he breaks and no longer wants to be a part of a cause that only brings death and sadness to others. He also saw Veronica recently, from a distance, in the vampire district and by the looks of it plus further investigating, she had become one much to his dismay but with such a conclusion, he has come to reevaluate his supposed ignorant hatred toward the race embedded into him through his years of growing up in a werewolf pack. He’s been battling, within himself, whether he should truly hate what the woman he adores has become, what makes her her, or give her up in order to be with another werewolf female he most likely could never grow to love.
