Their Story:Patrick, born Padraig was the chieftan of his large clan. Well, it was more like a family, it still is, really. It was always what you could call a 'family business'. Though you have to understand that back then, in the late 1100's. They were an extended clan. All the different sectors of the family owning their own chunk of territory. And it was great, it was all perfect. Until that one fateful day, during an attack they were confronted by a dark druid who soon escaped their grasp. It wouldn't be until days after that Padraig realized he shouldn't have let him live. He sent a werewolf, a creature of the night to PAdraig's camps, it slaughtered some but turned the rest of them. Though at that point, they didn't know they were turned. They really believed it nothing more than a bite, funny really, looking back on it.

However, they only really noticed the fact that they were these hideous and terrible, damned creatures of the moon when the blood moon was full. It reduced all of them to the worst, almost what the blackened sector of your soul would be like. That's what it was. It was soon after their first few full moons that they realized, only their sector of our extended family was the only bitten and attacked. So, taking matters into my his hands, Padraig took the position of Alpha Wolf and they roamed the lowlands and the highlands of Ireland. It was our land.

Time passed. The unturned memberss of their extended family died off leaving only their truly close knit group. They truly bordered on animalism. They were beasts, monsters, though you have to understand, they were only doing what was needed to survive. And you must understand another thing, the O'Connel's were not always a crime related family. Though as time dragged on, they were reduced to it, these crimes being that of murder,of course, the only thing that could temporarily subside their feral attitudes and vicious nature.

The family continued what they did, and they loved it, with a passion. Though, when the 17th century came, a race of supernatural beings called 'witches' were hunted all across Europe, including Ireland. Though soon after, the people came to a conclusion that the witches and the werewolves were in 'cahoots' and were actually helping eachother. Because of this, and many other events it made it obvious that the werewolves were hunted and in danger for most of their existence, though, Pardaig was a master at this, always getting them out of jams and protecting his people. Something that seemed heroic. Though in all truthfullness, it was luck, pure, dumb luck. Something he grew to know and love, and cherish in the years to come. Also, because of this, the rest of his clan began to respect him for his sheer 'talent' of being able to control luck. He know now that the luck came from his lucky gold coin, in which his father gave to him on his death bed. Great gift.

Also if you're interested to know, probably when the Alpha was born his name was still Padraig, because the name Patrick came later on after everything was Christianized. The rustic original spelling might be a quirk or eccentricity you'll enjoy!
