Humans - Extended Lore

Overview
Humans are just the regular race of people. They have no powers whatsoever and live and age under normal circumstances. Their strength is also nothing special, they can go through training and exercise to make themselves stronger but ultimately they will have the limits of humanity imposed upon them.

The pinnacle of their physical abilities can be seen among the Olympic level athletes. These humans will also have their bodies lessen in strength as they grow older. Humans of ages in the late 80s and above will have extreme difficulty being agile, despite any training they’ve done in their lives before.

But this doesn’t mean that humans are completely useless. What they lack in supernatural abilities they can make up for in sheer number and determination. Some humans also seem to acquire vast supernatural powers by carrying special unique artifacts or weapons. (eg. Excalibur). However, with training, careful study and appropriate weapons, they can hold their own against the creatures of darkness. They are not push-overs and their strength has always lay in how much effort they put into something.

Another advantage that humans have over the other races is that they do not have to live in secrecy. Humans are everywhere, and they do not have to fear being known for what they are. They can go out in broad daylight and do not suffer the weaknesses of other races, such as blood lust or animalistic tendencies.

Powers and Abilities
Humans only natural weapon is their brain and their body, nothing more. Compared to other races they are not, in most ways, extraordinary. They can be easily overrun and overpowered by any of the other races if it is based on natural ability alone.

Weaknesses
Humans do not have powers. They heal slowly at a humanly rate, depending on the severity of the wound. The degree of a human’s strength and therefore his weakness is a product of what kind of life they’ve lived and how they have been molded by it.

Humans can be killed by basically anything. Unlike other races which have specific weaknesses; humans don’t, though not because they have none, but because there are too many. A person could die from a pin, if used correctly. Even dirt could kill a person. Humans are fragile, frightfully so.
