Physical Appearance: In a nutshell, Florence is pale, tall, ginger, and elegant. Her thin stature is accentuated by her height (five feet and ten inches). Like all vampires she has porcelain skin, but what really makes Florence stand out is her deep red wavy hair. Eerily enough, it mimics the color of the human blood she needs to survive. She has large hands with slender fingers, and they are tipped with pointy nails that are a tad too much like claws to be normal to an average human.

Her style is also very unique as well. She seems to be stuck in the past before she was turned into a vampire. Most of her clothes resemble that of the roaring twenties, and possible later decades. They tend to be more or less solid colors that range from black to white to red to green, but nearly always a dark hue. Lace is favorite material of hers, and this is shown through her alias. You will never see Florence wearing pants, and she will nearly always have heels on. Black Lace likes to keep it classy.

They are her mother, grandmother, and two aunts, all of which she looks up to highly. They held strong morals, which Florence still holds today. She also has a silver fox ring that she always wears.

Weapons and Equipment: Florence owns only two weapons, as she does not believe in fighting. She an ancient dagger that was passed through her family, and she also own a hand held revolver. She can proficiently use both of them if need be.

Limitations: Florence proficiency in her skills has been listed above, but her biggest weakness is her humanity side. She refuses to let go of her humane values, even in her creature state now. This seriously hinders her in this particular world, because she likes to refrain from violence, and arguing. Sadly for her, those are crucial in Arc City.

Personality Description: Florence is one tough cookie. Maybe not on the exterior, but on the inside her body is a pit of fire that will stand up to nearly anyone. Wavering from her beliefs and virtues will never happen, and she will make he ideas known to everyone around her. She is not particularly a social person though, so even though she may voice her opinion, you might not get any reasoning behind it, which makes her seem very misunderstood. A lot of her ideas can be kept up bottle for a time, before they all explode out.

The reason she does this, is because she is very proper and "lady like" you may say. Florence will always dress properly, carry herself with proper etiquette, and speak with eloquence and poise. She is also not one for physical confrontation. She does know how to fight, but she has hardly ever practiced, so if it came down to it, she might not last long in a battle. Her "lady like" eloquence might eventually be her downfall.

Strengths:

• Strong Willed: Do not expect Florence to go down easily when it comes to what she wants. You will never be able to sway her opinion once it is set. This goes true with practically anything she has some sort of opinion about.
  
• Intelligence: After all of the years being a deadly and beautiful vampire, Florence has still not lost sense of intelligence. She thinks through her situations, and is never one to jump to conclusions, or act before thinking.
  
• Experienced: Florence is not your oldest vampire in the city, but at 102 years of age, she is certainly not the youngest either! Florence has had years of dealings with a plethora of different types of people and creatures, in many situations. She knows a thing or two about what to do in a tight place.
  
• Observant: She watches. She observes. She notes. Florence is gret at picking up the slightest of details, and this can be invaluable when in a tight situation, or trying to get your way with someone.
  
• Brave: As you know by now, Florence will up for what she believes in or for someone she loves during any situation, even if it costs her life (hey-- she's already past the average lifespan). You can bet that in battle, she would be just a fierce.[
  
• Generous: If she's in the mood.

Weaknesses:

• Ignorant: If it goes against what she is used to, or what she likes, then she probably won't ever give it a chance. She refuses to accept what she finds different, even ignore evidence that proves her false.
  
• Bitter: This is a lovely adjective to sum up Florence's feelings. She can be a bitter, bitter women at times, because she practically hates her life. It is only her own thoughts and memories that keep her afloat, and holding the value to live.
  
• Untrained: Florence has never undergone any fighting training at all, which is something crucial for her world. Her stubbornness has refused any training in violence, and for that fact, it may be her last regret.
  
• Prideful: You bet your butt that she'll take offense if you insult her, her family, or her values. She would rather die then be humiliated or stand for what she sees unjust.
  
• Emotional: Like many vampires, Florence's emotions tend to be in very extreme places. A happy medium is not an easy thing to find her her life.

Fear: To live in a world with no humanity, where everyone has lost their sense of being and morals.

Goal: To preserve what ideas she thinks are important, and not let all of her old family values go to waste, and be lost in time.

Their Story: Florence Cashmere Vulpes was born in the bustle of New York city in the year of 1910. She grew up in a cramped household of four women: her mother, grandmother, and two aunts. Her father died just before her birth. It was your typical girl household, filled with "pretty things", tea time, and lace. These four women where all that Florence looked up to growing up, and living without males in her life rubbed off on her. As she grew older she generally shut out a lot of boys, and did not care for their obtrusive and vulgar language, tastes, and actions. She did get along well with girls thought, and as she grew up in the roaring twenties she may be what you would call, a flapper.

During one party she attended in her early twenties, she became particularly swooned by one man, which was so odd for her. It turned out that he was a vampire. During the wee hours of the night, in a lone corner of the partying mansion, Florence Vulpes was turned. As soon as she realized what had happened, she couldn't believe. She quarreled with the other vampire, and bombarded him with questions about what was going on. He left in a furry, displeased by Florence's sudden erratic behavior, and was never seen by her again.

When Florence returned home that night, shaken, she knew that she mustn't tell anyone. The four women at home began to tell something was odd with their young adult girl. Sadly, Florence's mother, and her two aunts died in a train accident two months later, and Florence's grandmother was on her deathbed. Florence took care of the grandmother for another month. Before she passed, she asked Florence, the warmth leaving her body.

"What is wrong with you, my child? You haven't been right for months."

"What are you talking about, grandmother? Of course I have been alright. Alright as much as I can with mother and aunts' deaths, and your situation."

"No, it was before then. You're as pale as me. As cold as me. More beautiful then ever though. Disappearing into the nights."

"Well thank you, for calling me beautiful, grandmother, but nothing is wrong in the least. Now sleep, rest your weary mind, and think on this no more. You're weak."

The grandmother never woke up after this, and Florence was forever changed. She had no one to look after anymore. She was a lone vampire in New York City. She had lied to her grandmother's last wish, and she couldn't believe it. But she would never have been able to tell her either. The downward spiral of Florence's life began. Soon, Florence moved off to Arc City, unable to stand the memories that lingered in the Big Apple. She would never know that were she was moving now, would be the next worse place. However, once people figure out what you are in Arc City-- it is not so easy to escape.

In goal in life now is the live how her four roles models did. With honesty, pride, beauty, and integrity. And that was something that she would carry to her deathbed.

Brooke fought not to flinch as Lina wrapped her arms around her. As soon as their skin touched though, Brooke knew that Lina could never mean any harm to here, ever. It felt to genuine, and warm, and loving, and caring, and everything a hug should be. If Lina was in fact in the mafia then she was truly the best actress in the world. At that moment, Brooke didn't care though. She felt Lina's touch, and felt at home. It made her feel bad in a way. Here she was being consoled from a woman she had met only a few times, and her was ignoring the fact that her mother was just in the other room. She felt like a traitor.

Yet, she still didn't want Lina to let go when she did. In all seriousness she didn't want to leave that bathroom, and she wanted to stay with Lina, and hug her till the sun rose back up, but she couldn't do that. Brooke needed to put her big girl heels back on, and face the music. She was an actress now. She mastered emotion, and faced fears.
