[/b][/u]APPLYING FOR A FACTION
---------------------------
A large part of this city's plot is that there as so many warring factions. As such, we have created the option for seasoned members of the site to create their own factions and join the war as part of a collective unit, rather than as individuals. This is meant to create a more dynamic playing field for the members and to further the plot of the site.
In order to apply for a Faction, one must be in possession of a Faction License. The specifics of which, can be seen HERE
It should be noted that for purposes of making members free with their plotting and RPing, they are allowed to form unofficial factions free of charge. These factions may be comprised of actual members or NPCs. However, only officially applied for and accepted factions can avail of the benefits.Official Faction Benefits:
- Formal recognition from all other existing factions
- Faction leader has the power to accept or dismiss members from their respective faction.
- Complimentary sub-board for the faction hideout or headquarters
- Post counts become transferable between characters of the same faction.
- Every month, each faction members gets complimentary free points, depending on how many members they currently have.
- Opportunity to win The Faction of the Month Spotlight, and avail of its prizes.
- Permission to partake in any and all sub-plots or contests that require factions.
Note: Characters who are part of 2 factions will only receive the benefits of joining one faction.
There are also rules for creating and owning a faction. They can be seen bellow.
Faction Rules:
[/b][/u]- A Faction License is required for any party, who wishes to create a faction. The only exceptions will be given if relevant to the plot or the entirety of the site.
- If the faction isn't active, meaning to say that there is no interaction amongst its members regarding the nature of their faction's goals, in the span of one month, then it will be disbanded and the license revoked. The funds used to acquire the faction license will be returned to the initial founding members.
- Factions must be original ideas, although of course members can get inspiration from already existing organizations. But we will not be having plagiarisms or obvious duplicates of any already existing faction idea (eg. X-Men, Death Eaters, etc)
- Any actions taken by a faction that will have a massive impact on the site, whether by directly affecting the plot or the city must be run by the staff for approval first.
- In the same way that members cannot God-Mod other members, factions cannot God-Mod other factions, which includes NPCs, headquarters, businesses, or the like.
- A member may be part of more than one faction, however they must be prepared for the in-character repercussions that this may have. We actually encourage this approach for advanced members, for the purpose plainly effing things up for everyone in character
