Jusztina Draculesti
biological information
Full Name: Jusztina Szilagyi Draculesti of Moldavia Nickname: Your Highness, Your Majesty, My Queen, (by select few) Juju, Jusztina. Alias(es): The Vampire Queen. Gender: Female. Orientation: Pansexual. Age: 564. Date of Birth: October or November (unsure) Marital Status: Widow. Place of Birth: Suceava, Modlavia (present day Romania) Race: Vampire. Occupation: Vampire Queen/Owner of multiple international banks and investment companies.
Physical Appearance: Charming with the charisma of a fiercely independent and defiant woman, Jusztina was never anything but captivating. More than anything she has the beauty of a lioness, with grace like a swan, and a unique aura that can draw in even the most refusing of men and women. Seeming like the embodiment of seduction, her physical appearance makes her seem like the exact opposite of what she has become though it is the definition of the girl she used to be.
At a young age, Jusztina wasn't exactly a looker. She definitely had the potential, however. Upon birth, she was considered "special" because of her uncharacteristic dark blonde hair and blue eyes which were not very common in Modlavia during that time. As she grew, her skin took on a more golden, sun kissed hue to match the rest of her family though her hair became lighter, as if bleached by the warming rays of the sun, and her eyes seemed to become a more beckoning shade of azure with a strong navy outline. She inherited her mother's full lips and typical pout wile inheriting her father's stately nose which she disliked greatly, though she was always told it gave her "character". High cheek bones and sweeping thick eyebrows gave her the appearance of someone of noble birth, which she was (to her dislike). She was also a tad bit too tall for her age, being lanky and all limbs by the age of six which wasn't considered beautiful at the time where petite women, with more "meat on their bones", were preferred. Jusztina had always been a bit on the thin side, with a concave stomach that never left her and, upon aging, wide hips and a tiny waist that eventually became her physical advantage to winning over apple of men's eyes - including that of her late husband.
As a vampire, her natural beauty, once diluted, became amplified. Though she lost the golden tone of her skin to a significantly paler hue, it still has the sort of sun kissed glow it always had. Her eyes, like any other vampire, glows whenever she uses any form of dark magic though the darker, navy strip surrounding the bright blue does not glow as brightly. She has four fangs on her upper set of teeth; two large ones and two smaller ones next to them. This is something her late husband considered "unique" and came about because her teeth had not been "perfect" in her mortal life, causing the sort of deformation of her teeth upon becoming a vampire. She now considers the set an asset, something that makes killing much easier. Upon being turned, she had been seventeen years old and thus, the youthful beauty and charm, attitude and isms accompanying the age have clung to her hair and skin, to everything about her right down to her toes.
When it comes to her attire, she tends to mix old world charm from over the many decades of her life and the more acceptable, modern attire. She likes to dress up in her old dresses from when she'd been the only wife of her husband (many of which she managed to save and preserve over the years), and gravitates more toward vintage styling with just a tad bit more skin showing, just to give it a nice little modern twist. When in her own home, she is normally found in gowns and dresses, evening lounge wear ranging from velvet, plush robes to silk slips without the care of who sees her. As for the public eye, though she does not dress extravagant, her personality and just the uniqueness of her attire tends to draw attention. She prefers dresses and skirts to pants but when she does wears pants or denim, she tends to wear a lot of leather, lace, and spandex giving her a sort of dominatrix vibe she finds amusing to portray. She only does this when personally going after someone for doing some kind of wrong to her. Her love for fashion can be best compared to her love for revenge and blood.

special abilities
Powers:
- Vigor Gift - Jusztina, as an ancient vampire, is extremely strong, an ability she initially, though having possessed already, gained more of with the three other ancient vampires she drained for this specific purpose. She can easily take down a young werewolf but put her up against an older one and things could get complicated.
- Celerity Gift - Even in her mortal life she was very graceful and light on her feet. So when she became a vampire, this simply was amplified and as quickly as she can move, she can also be very stealthy and quiet as she does so.
- Sensory Gift - This was the first gift she discovered upon becoming a vampire. Having been trained at a young age to track game, with her sensory gift, it became that much easier. Knowing the "tricks of the trade" she deems essential while the sensory gift an accessory she uses only when tracking down her meals.
- Suspension Gift - The ability of suspension was one she originally acquired through her late husband. She was once like most vampires, able to walk on walls and ceilings without thinking much of it, but with her husband's very strong ability in this region, and those of the several other ancient vampires she drained she is now able to fly though she does not use it often, still preferring to simply use her ability of celerity than that of flight.
- Ignorance Gift - Like most vampires, Jusztina can heal quickly, a tad bit quicker than others because of all the years under her belt. After being burned by a cult, she killed two other ancients in order to heal faster from her wounds and seek out her vengeance. She's become accustomed to burn wounds, now, and tends to heal them fairly quickly though of course not as quickly as she'd like to.
- Vestige Gift - The vampire queen has been known for seeking out her sons, long dead from their mortal lives, and has been known for holding her youngest, Mihail, who passed away at the young age of three, and conversing with her oldest, Mihnea, who passed away at the age of 48 from a battle wound. She normally, however, uses this gift for any other purpose-such a purpose only happening behind closed doors and when she feels the most vulnerable.
- Blood Speaking Gift – Having drained the blood of a total of twelve other ancients, killed a vast number of mortals, and having created so many children, Jusztina's blood is practically an encyclopedia of memories, experiences, and the like that she has the tendency of having difficult handling. She was never told of such a "price" until she came about it herself. Though she can control it enough, her emotions and mood swings tend to be very high strung and she tries her hardest to hide such a fault. It is mostly shown through her rage, her violent acts sometimes mirroring the rage of other ancient vampires she drained-especially her husband's.
- Turning Gift - Despite having turned numerous people, Jusztina is very picky with whom she turns-including their age, health, social status, etc. Usually, she will ask the person first, after watching them for a while, anywhere between a few weeks and a few years, and if they agree, she further debates it within herself before initially turning them. It has happened by accident but she only turns others when she finds it necessary to add some numbers to their strength-especially those who already have a death wish and are suicidal.
- Mind Gift - This, coupled with her blood speaking gift, have been what has been driving Jusztina slowly into the realm of insanity. Being she wasn't necessarily mentally or emotionally stable as a human, it has become difficult for her to not read the minds of humans over the years though she has definitely improved on the ability tremendously in order to give her mind some peace and not to cloud her judgment.
- Cloud Gift – Same as suspension gift.
- Haze Gift – She gained this ability mostly through a hand full of the other ancient vampires. The only other person she has been able to turn into a mist form, like herself, has been Javier and it is something she only tends to do in very dire situations or when her emotions are a tad bit too wild so it is as if the "other voices" tend to help her out with achieving it. Plus, Javier is easier to keep in her mind than a random other person. It isn't something she uses often with him-but she definitely uses it often with herself when wanting to avoid confrontation or a particular topic she doesn't want to talk about.
- Resistance Gift – Jusztina can stand up to three hours in direct sunlight without much of a problem though she doesn't do it often. Her fear of the sunlight is still very fresh, especially after having burned a few times from its rays, but she does use it, usually when making a public appearance during the day in which she limits herself to only one hour, at most, in the sunlight before retreating.
- Fiend Gift – Because of her age and from the twelve ancient beings she drained, when Jusztina uses this gift, which she once again seldom uses unless necessary, she is one hell of a swarm large enough to take out parts of armies which helped during the war of power.
Skills:
- Military/Combat Training - Though it was uncommon for women in her day and age to be trained in such fields, her father was a very fierce military nobleman who believed every single one of his children needed to similar training - which he gave them all personally in order to defend themselves from the Ottoman Turks who were constantly trying to conquer Moldavia and Wallachia territories. This was later amplified through her late husband, who, though very much so a dictator, once found it useful to have his first wife know as much as possible in such subject. She continued receiving training, personally, behind her husband's back and after his death.
- Tracking/Hunting - Growing up in a very mountainous and heavily forested area her entire human life and most of her vampiric life she learned and was taught how to track and hunt game-which she later applied to humans and she now does for sport as well as survival. She prefers to catch her meals instead of having them brought to her. She claims it makes the meal that much more appealing.
- Horseback Riding - As a human, in order to learn to track and hunt great areas of land, she had to know how to ride a horse. It became a favorite pastime of hers since it was an easy way of escape and normal during that time period. She is exceptionally well at riding horses and owns a large number of them in her various ranches across the globe.
- Photogenic Memory - Considered both a blessing and a curse, Jusztina has a ridiculous photogenic memory that tends to plague her when it comes to her her kills but warms her when it comes to sweeter memories. She tends to remember more so the big picture than little details but has been working on sharpening this natural skill of hers she had as a human that was amplified upon becoming a vampire. This has also helped her become more intelligent over the years, being able to retain information with ease.
Personal Possessions: - Collection of Journals - Though it probably is not longer popular to write in journals, she has numerous dating as far back as when she was thirteen years old when she was first married to her husband. She has one journal for each year since then and thus, her personal library is filled with them and each is heavily locked in a secure area of her library so no one, but herself, can read them. She considers them part of her "humanity" and what tends to keep her sane-helping her remember key points in her life and how she experienced them.
- Collection of Family Jewels - Being she was of noble birth and then married into a royal family, she has a large number of old jewels she holds close and dear, specifically those stemming from her own direct family history ranging from her mother's favorite evening broach to her sons' crowns. She also keeps them under lock and key in a secure place outside of Arc City in a small ranch she has in the Carpathian Mountains. She does, however, keep her husband's original crown as well as those of her sons with her in whatever home she is residing in. Also, on the anniversary of the death of a loved one of her family, she wears a specific set of pearl earrings and a necklace given to her by her husband upon the eve of their wedding. She has a ring she always wears that is in the shape of a dragon wrapping around her finger.
- Draculesti Royal Family Painting - Despite having killed her husband and done so with supposedly no remorse, she still keeps the family painting of herself, her husband, and their two sons in the library (her favorite place of course) as well as a large amount of other paintings of her original family before marrying into that of the Draculs. She has the rest of the paintings hanging around her library that have been covered with white cloths since the death of her husband.
Weapons and Equipment: n/a Limitations: Jusztina's biggest weakness is her memories and her emotions. She tends to have some trouble with mastering the art of listening in on the voices of other people, something she received through draining her husband that she did not naturally possess very well before. Her anger tends to get the better of her, causing her to do very irrational things - such as killing her husband - and Javier, though she will not admit it out loud, is a big weakness for her. She has come to consider him her only true companion and though she knows he is her protector, she would just as fiercely protect him as well. Should any harm come to him, her built up wrath and emotional instability would surely be unleashed in the worst way possible.
Like anyone else, her powers do have limitations. She has an intense fear of fire and thus, tends to stray from it. Her mental instability causes her to often lose control of her many abilities much like a giant who does not know much about her own strength. For example, though she can fly, she can't do it often because she can't keep it up for a steady amount of time. This is with the majority of her abilities. They tend to fluctuate, coming and going, because of her lack of control and concentration. Essentially the best way to kill her would be to bring out any type of memories and events, experiences lodged deep into her blood or to do some kind of psychological damage. Physically, she protects her heart the most fiercely despite it no longer beating. It relates back to the idea of mind over body in which she still firmly believes that if one were to rip out her heart, she physically wouldn't be able to go on. It is why she tends to aim for the heart when killing her victims - she believes if she takes them first, they can't take her own.

Personality Description: Jusztina has a very cynical view of the world. She has grown bitter sweet over the many years of her existence and tends to be more of a loner than anything. She questions everything she does not know about and likes to have control - something she tended to lack while growing up as the youngest daughter of a nobleman. She has a lot of trust issues and it take a lot to win over a woman of her caliber but it is possible - with a lot of patience that she, naturally, lacks. The vampire queen comes off as very cold, cruel, and calculating yet calm, cool, and collected. She is intelligent and tends to like things to go strictly according to plan. She dislikes surprises, even the good kind, though it always depends on the person surprising her. The reason she comes across as such a manner is because of her lack of words which tend to come out blunt and in a commanding fashion that was typical of when she was a human. She also seems arrogant because of her own composure. She holds her head high and has a ridiculous amount of pride that keeps her chest firmly swollen. With this pride comes her rage and jealousy, which was mostly created when her husband continued to take up several different brides, causing her to feel like she was not good enough to keep him satisfied. When angry she tends to become unpredictable and usually secludes herself after and beats herself up over it - for showing any kind of weakness to even those who accompany her at all times.
Despite these flaws, Jusztina is, though mostly secretly, a very sweet and goofy gal who loves adventure and the thrill of an adrenaline rush. She prides herself on being independent and no longer needing a husband to keep her happy though it continues to depress her how she'd killed him so easily along with the other brides - one of which was a close older sister of hers. She tends to feel a great deal of remorse over those she has killed over the years, especially when she has dreams of their memories and their lives that she simply can't erase. She has a large sense of loyalty toward those of her coven and thus, if one were to betray her, she does the usual punishment her husband had been know for: placing them on top of a large wooden stake and letting them slowly fall down it; and tends to make such punishments long and drawn out - mostly so they can feel the horrible pain she felt when they betrayed her. She is an extremely emotional vampire who tries to keep such emotions hidden and at bay though anyone observant enough in her private quarters would know she has her bouts of immaturity and simple, light hearted, childish behavior she was once known for as a human.
Very blunt and to the point, Jusztina tends to take the "brutally honest" approach like ripping off a band aid quickly instead of going slow. If she dislikes you, it will be very obvious in the way she speaks and acts. If she likes you, expect more smirks and very small smiles since she likes to keep her face stoic in front of others. She uses her abilities her her own, personal advantage and has no problem with becoming violent - as of recently preferring it despite how it makes her emotionally unstable with her photogenic memory and all. She does not like others viewing her as weak or simple minded and thus, goes out of her way to prove others wrong. With this, she loves to be the one that is right and with the final word-even if it is simply a nod of her pretty blonde head.
Strengths:- Mysterious - Juju has a sense of mystery not any can match. Because of her distant behavior and how quickly she can go from being calm and collected to wrathful and vengeful, she tends to be considered a case unsolved and untouchable. It is a strength she obliviously and naturally has.
- Manipulative - She is very good at twisting people around her fingers and having them do as she pleases-a sense of control she likes to have though won't admit it. She can use her charm to get into a person's mind and then exploit them for all they are worth.
- Loyal - Despite many downfalls to her personality, Juju is extremely loyal and will do anything for those who prove their loyalty right on back to her. Though only for a select few would she actually lay her life down for.
- Brave - Her bravery stems from her upbringing and training in various subjects she was not supposed to be trained for. If her subjects, for example, were to go into a war blind, she would go in blind with them without thinking twice about it. It also stems from her sense of loyalty that is fiercely engraved into her mind.
- Intelligent - Her intelligence comes from her photogenic memory and from picking through the minds of others when she feels the need to. With so many years under her belt, it was easy for her to learn all the things she knows today and her extensive library in which she has books dating as far back as the 1300's, she can always refresh her memory.
Weaknesses:- Prideful - One out of many sins that cling to her name, she doesn't take lightly to those who wound her ego/pride and has the tendency to get violent if done so.
- Spiteful - She simply does not forgive people. Though two wrongs do not make a right, they certainly make her feel a smidgen better and will do whatever it takes to correct whatever the other person had done to her-starting with torturing them.
- Envious - Her envy has a tendency of being misplaced. She tends to envy anything mortal, constantly longing for her mortal life back in which she was free and able to know, fully well, that someday her life would come to an end when she was of old age and had seen her grand children and such. However, such envy toward humanity has been misplaced in her husband which resulting in his death.
- Depressed - Having murdered so many people and not having anyone she was originally close to in her mortal life surrounding her anymore, Jusztina has become privately depressed, usually spending her time in which she is supposed to be resting, reading through old journals, looking through old painting, recalling memories she shouldn't be and constantly seeing the faces of her victims flashing through her mind.
- Emotionally Unstable - With the gift of essentially reading minds, Jusztina has become more and more emotionally unstable - with her husband's death becoming that initial turning point that made her head more for the worse than the better. She sometimes has trouble distinguishing which time period or era she is in and, when extremely upset, calling out for her two sons who long since passed away.
Fear/s: - Being alone forever...literally.
- Losing those closest to her.
Goal/s:- To somehow find a way to turn back time and remain human.
- To find someone she can trust who won't become her husband.
biography
Their Story:
Jusztina was born on a bright and sunny day sometime in October or November in the year 1448. She was the youngest of eight children; Matthieus II, Mikael, Arnaud, Raud, Amus, Savva, Ilona, and Jusztina. Matthieus II eventually killed off their father, Matthieus I , when Jusztina was ten years old, leaving him in charge of their noble, military, estate and territories in Moldavia – present day Romania. He became the head of the family, with their mother, Svana, eventually retreating all authority and handing it over to her eldest son. Mikael was a captain for the Wallachia army, Arnaud was sent to, what is now, modern day Venice to become a cleric, Raud was killed during a Turkish invasion, Amus was married off to the daughter of a Wallachia nobleman, Savva died of the bubonic plague at a young age, and Ilona was sent to a convent after proving to have been fornicating with one of the stable boys. Jusztina was regarded as the angel of the group, having taken a keen liking to going on adventures in the Carpathian Mountains with her older siblings and father, as well as enjoying being taught by her father how to track and hunt as well as horseback ride. She was gifted in all these aspects, at a young age already giving her input as to military action toward the Turks that would eventually lead to her father’s revelations in making keen decisions during the long battles. The Szilagyi Family was of military blood and her father was so fiercely loyal to the Draculesti royal family of Wallachia that he too was part of The Order of the Dragon, having rings in the shape of dragons encircling one’s finger fit for everyone in his family that pledged-Jusztina having pledged full loyalty to the fight for Christianity against the Islamic Turks known then as the Ottoman Empire. But for the day and age (the 1400s) in which Jusztina lived, she was regarded as plain and unhealthy compared to her full figured, petite older sister who looked wholesome and with mother-bearing hips. Jusztina was always very thin for her age, with blonde hair much brighter than those of her siblings who all had either very dark blonde or very light brown. Her eyes were a piercing blue and her high cheek bones almost gave her a hollow appearance. She was always too tall for her age, all limbs, which her mother claimed she’d received from her 6’4 father and grandfather – as well as all her constant running, jumping, climbing, and horseback riding.
Life in Moldavia for the young noble gal was sweet and simple: days spent in the forest and mountains, running off with older siblings to festivals of music and dance where her love for music blossomed, but it all came to an abrupt end with the murder and death of her father by the hand of her eldest brother. Jusztina was ten at the time and though her innocent and childish ways did not change so drastically, she did have a greater appreciation for her own life. She valued it much more than before, the fear of simply no longer existing being a tad bit heavy on her shoulders which was often calmed by Ilona who would tell her that their father went to heaven because he died an innocent man and he was a soldier for the Lord. If she followed him, she would die in her sleep, like him, and live for eternity in heaven with God. The thought appealed to her but life in their stately home in Moldavia changed. Matthieus II was much like a dictator, controlling everything down to the rations of foods for every person in the household. Jusztina lived under her brother’s roof for three years before, after proving to be a threat if angered toward the Draculesti royal family, she was married off to Vlad II in order to stay in their favor. It was a surprise considering most suitors wanted nothing to do with the fair haired girl who seemed simply too unhealthy to give them children. Jusztina had an odd relationship with Vlad that at times was complex because of their seventeen year age difference. However, there was no hatred on either side, simply a common interest to full fill their duties. Eventually the two did grow to care for one another and a year after being married, she was able to give birth to their first son, Mihnea I. He was much like Jusztina with his adventurous and curious behavior and though Vlad forbid her from actually raising the young boy herself, claiming she was too much of a child, she was often with her son, learning and watching as the wet nurses raised him instead as others had raised her in the past. It was through such curious behavior, as well as some sweet rebellion by stealing her own son away to go see festivals in the town square to see traveling performers, that Vlad grew to actually adore his young bride and wife for her innocence was contagious and he found her to be more beautiful than anything – different from all the brunettes that roamed the lands.
When Jusztina was fifteen years old, almost sixteen, she gave birth to Mihail, her second son. Like her first, she was unable to raise him herself but she still took the two away for fun days whether it be on a farm to feed baby animals or to run through fields near their home. Like always, Jusztina remained in her permanent, youthful innocence. When she was sixteen years old, Vlad went to the battle front to keep the Turks and Ottoman Empire from entering Wallachia territory. It was around this time that word was received that the Turks planned on taking Castle Draculesti and anyone inside, if valuable, would remain captive. Not wanting her sons to be captured, she sent them with a few servants and messengers to their father to keep them safe. Her loyalty to her new found home country and the people of the town kept her from leaving, preferring to hold down the fort, so to speak, and fight against the small group of Turks that invaded the town. After a few days of a grueling battle, Jusztina was caught and held captive by the Turks in an unknown location. For about a year she was tortured and starved, treated like the scum of the earth with most of those who did survive the battle having been killed off for not having valuable information. Eventually, they planned on killing her since Vlad was driving his army back out of Wallachia and they tossed a famished and ill Jusztina , bound and gagged, into the Lady River which was where the legend was created that she threw herself into said river – hence its namesake. A local fisherman, having seen her thrown in, managed to rescue her and slowly started nursing her back to health while waiting for Vlad to return home with their sons. It took three or so months for him to return and he was a completely different man. No longer the kind face he showed her but instead fully “Vlad the Impaler”. Jusztina returned to a castle surrounded by large stakes and Turkish men, as well as others, stuck on the top, slowly falling down its length and dying for slow and torturous, loud and painful deaths. As Jusztina fully recovered from the traumatic experience, she argued more with her husband, speaking out about his ways of torture despite having been tortured by them herself. She also continued to ask where their youngest son had gone, why he wasn’t there with them, and why he was suddenly so different. He was much paler and moved differently. Somehow, his beauty had become cruel and eventually, he told her what he was, a vampire, and through the process, he had essentially sacrificed their youngest son, his blood being the most beckoning within his current vicinity. He had to drain the blood of Mihail and with that, Jusztina angrily yelled at him, in frustration and depression at the death of one of her sons and not having been there to save him. Vlad forced himself on, draining her almost completely of her blood before he finally turned her.
Distant and cold toward her husband, she spent the majority of her time with their, now, only son, attempting to turn him into someone who could be a kind and peaceful ruler but Vlad had already gotten to him and he wanted to rule with an iron fist. The little boy stopped being the sweet and curious boy he once was and found it amusing to watch captives die on, essentially, their front lawn where he could see from his bedroom window. Others moved into their castle, all identical to Vlad with their pale skin and dark hair, a sense of death clinging to their auras. Having been neglected by Jusztina – her innocence stolen from her when he turned her, he began looking for other wives and eventually, he turned Ilona, Jusztina’s older sister who had originally been in a convent. He turned a total of five other women to be his wife and, with jealousy and lonliness bubbling within her, Jusztina, perpetually seventeen, attempted to win back Vlad’s favor and affection with not real result. The two often fought and were very violent toward each other, ending in one or the other having to recover for months on end from their excursions. Eventually, during one of these fits of rage and jealously over why he had to go off and get more wives, Jusztina overpowered her husband and drained him of her blood with no remorse. In her own blind rage, she set herself on draining the other wives since they were still young vampires, her sister included, and they all perished under her sharp fangs.
This caused Jusztina to get stronger and as she took the place of her husband as the head of the ancient vampire coven that formed, she manipulated and seduced many older vampires to join, able to twist them around her fingers like puppets on a string. Most of them she essentially slept with to win them over and she killed them when they were most vulnerable-but only if they opposed her. She made it a habit to pose the older vampires against each other, causing most of them to become their own downfalls for letting her so easily get into their heads. She considers those kills her own only because she was the instigator and driving force behind them and because she would initially help with the draining process. It was during this time that she met Lord Pain, when he heard of her growing coven through rumors, and upon meeting him, found it amusing that he was a sadist. She, in many ways, began looking to him for guidance, more so with punishments or judgments upon the other elders who attempted to betray or plot against them. In a sense, she grew to consider him as her adviser, coven physician, and right hand man and though she trusts him with the businesses involving the coven, she is very particular about letting him into her private. It doesn't and never has stopped her from going to him when feeling the need for some pleasure from a vampire and not some typical human body. Along with his help, as well, she was able to mini internal civil wars with the other elders against each other in order for the two of them to grow stronger. She became the ruler she had no intention of becoming and she moved the coven, not wanting Mihnea to witness the rest of the carnage and bloodshed. She moved into a castle and eventually became known as “Elizabeth Bathory” and the coven normally took the villagers and even those of the royal family who opposed them, and drained them of their blood. In many ways she was stuck in a time of blood lust, having realized her great potential and harnessing it to her full advantage.
But as the Ottoman Empire began overthrowing Wallachia and Moldovia, Jusztina decided they needed to flee the country, keeping close to the shadows as the realization that their brash actions had caught the attention of various Satanic cults out to kill them. There was a specific cult hunting them down and thus, they hid in Persia in hopes of keeping a low profile and being able to regain their numbers and strength. It was here Jusztina came across Javier in a brothel where her “children” tended to come back to in order to feed because it was easy to catch their meals. She watched him for some time before taking it upon herself to rescue him from such a grave and final life and also began teaching him the ways of the coven, taking a liking to his beauty – how it reminded her of a life so long ago that she had trouble remembering unless she really paid attention enough. She could identify with his pain and yet, as she wanted him in her coven, she was very hesitant, unsure considering he was very young and she didn’t want him to no longer have the gift of being able to live a full , now normal, life since she freed him. He deserved a chance at being mortal. A chance she was not able to have. However, he got himself into some trouble, having been stabbed with a poisonous blade. Despite knowing she shouldn’t, she changed him, unable to handle the thought of parting with someone she felt so strongly toward. Jusztina ended up draining dry the woman that had done so wrong toward Javier and with that, she continued teaching him about the coven, giving him small amounts of her blood so he could grow stronger.
It wasn’t long after that the cult the coven had been hiding from found them and during the battle that ensued, Jusztina was set on fire and Javier taken away from her. She survived the fire but had to kill a few ancients who rebelled against her ruling of revenge, helping her heal though it took an extremely long time for her to fully recover her strength and numbers. Almost a full decade passed before she was able to be more powerful than she once was, with more children of course, and led the coven to seek the revenge they so desperately needed-Jusztina more than anything. It was around this time she met the Harpist while searching for the coven. Jusztina, always looking for more members, considered the older vampire an asset she absolutely had to have but found it difficult to convince her to join. She made her the absolute head captain above all for military-related issues and anything related to the defense of the coven, convinced that since she was the driving force behind her warlord husband's "glory", she would essentially help bring glory to her own coven.
She rescued Javier but with his opposition and brash rebellion toward members of the coven and herself, she was forced to detain him and lock him away in the dungeon of a large castle that was secluded in the Carpathian Mountains that she knew well like the back of her hand. She would visit him every day, the sting of his betrayal stinging her very existence but her own hope at possibly having him return to her keeping her from simply killing him off like others who so blatantly disobeyed her and her rule that was like an iron fist. She let him feed from her in order to hopefully have his memories return to him, even if they were technically through her eyes, and after a decade, he finally returned to her. The coven continued to travel through Europe now that Jusztina was satisfied with Javier having returned to normal and soon enough, the new world beckoned them. The idea of having land of their own kept Jusztina in line and after arriving in America with their numbers much larger than ever before, they partook in the War of Power in Arc City. Jusztina appointed Javier as a captain for their army alongside the Harpist and with their wealth and foot firmly inserted in the city, Javier gave up his appointed position to become Jusztina’s bodyguard and though he was now there to protect her and was stronger than he’d ever been, she continues to watch over and protect him. As she always did those she favored.

Sophia stared blankly at the empty road, seeing her chilled breathe come out in front of her as she trembled. Small, thin fingers were wrapped tightly around the hem of her tiny black skirt. She wore a barely-there outfit, sky high strappy pumps on her tiny feet. Her hair was damp, the rain pouring heavily as she sat there, makeup running on her face in streams of black down sugar plum sized cheeks. She was tired, the dark circles visible under her eyes and a light pink on the top lid from lack of sleep. She'd only been out since about six o clock but it was now five in the morning and after sneaking out, having been thoroughly grounded for coming home late one night from a party that got busted, but she looked like a wreck. There was a cut on her lower lip that burned every time a fat drop of rain hit it and she wiped the blood off with a napkin she had in her small clutch. The sixteen year old had a number of finger-shaped bruises on her wrists and arms, legs and ankles, and she looked disheveled. She didn't even want to see the rest of her body-probably marked up and horrible from the ordeal she'd managed to drag herself out of just barely. But she sat next to the payphone, her cellphone having gotten lost somewhere in his car. She couldn't bring herself to even think abut his name, much less say it out loud. Could she really blame him for doing what he'd done to her, though? She'd been warned, numerous times, to not get involved with someone like him...but for the past few days-maybe weeks, she felt like she'd already lost track of time- she'd been very obvious with showing that she just wasn't interested anymore. The popular group that had adopted her and taken her under their wing had easily told him she was just playing hard to get-he'd told her himself. But had she? No. She told him bluntly that she liked someone else, that she was grateful he took her to the party and she wanted the two of them to stay friends but he wouldn't have any of it. He wanted her and he always got what he wanted. 5'2 tall Fifi didn't stand a chance against a muscular, 6'3 football player. It didn't take much, though she struggled, to end up in the backseat of his car being tossed around like a rag doll. And after she managed to give him a good punch in the eye, he had thrown her out of his car, yelling more than enough threats to keep her quiet for the rest of eternity, and it was how she was there, sitting on a tiny bench on the side of the road connecting Raytown and the next one over with a payphone being her only line to the outside world. The first person she thought of calling had been Teddy but not wanting him to see her in the state she was in, she ended up calling Julian. She knew Roxy and Ricky and even her mother were going to give her hell for sneaking out the way she had, for arguing the way she had, for down right just not listening for the first time in a long time so bluntly and with no regards to the consequences.
The brunette always had a good head on her knobby shoulders but this time, she'd been thinking like a teenager who just wanted to live a little, to have a good time, to go to her first college party, have a couple drinks, and then go home or sleep over her friend's place. She didn't expect any of this to happen. Not at all. She'd been sitting there for about an hour, the rain having been coming down in sheets for at least an hour and a half. Soon enough, bright headlights hit her left profile but she didn't look over, already knowing it was Julian and if it wasn't, she could always just pretend she was a ghost and scare the person off. When the car pulled over in front of her and she heard her name, she finally looked up, slowly as if everything ached. She was thoroughly socked down to her nerve endings and she could feel the blood trickling down her thigh. If anything, she could lie about it...if only she could get her mouth to open. Instead, she stood in a painstaking slow rate, trying to move as little as possible, reached over, opened the passenger door, and sank into the seat while continuing to tremble, closing it behind her. She looked straight ahead without a word, continuing to grab the hem of her skirt until her knuckles turned as pale as the rest of her. She looked like she'd seen a ghost and was slowly becoming one. At this point, she might as well be.
